OmeTV is a free random video chat at ome.tv, with mobile apps, that bills itself as your Omegle alternative while stating it is not affiliated with Omegle. You set your own gender, pick one country or all of them, and press Start to meet a stranger on camera.

The video chat costs nothing and puts no limit on call length or on how many strangers you see, and messages can be translated once you switch that on in the settings. Your gender setting stays private: OmeTV uses it to steer you toward the opposite gender, offers no gender filter, and says plainly that every match stays random.

Around the chat sits a social network. OmeTV describes profiles, photos, followers and messages, and its Google Play listing walks you through signing up and creating a profile before you start meeting people. That is where OmeTV and a plain random call begin to part ways.

OmeTV runs on moderation and strict rules: pressing Start means accepting them, and the line shown with its Start button warns that violators will be banned.

Your real face has to stay visible in the frame, with no masks, filters or avatars. A report sends moderators a screenshot of the other person's video together with their messages, a burst of complaints in a short time sets off an automatic ban, and an accidental slip still counts, even one made by a friend on your device. Its Terms let OmeTV restrict access without notice, block IP addresses and decide how long each ban lasts.

On data, OmeTV says the video and audio stream is processed in real time and not stored, and that it keeps no full message log and no record of who you talked to or when. It does hold ban data: specific messages when a ban concerns the text chat, your picture until a ban expires, and a record of each ban after that. Its policy says the service may require a direct connection between devices, which makes your IP address available to the other person's device, although the service's interface does not show it to them.

On ChatMatch the first screen is the call, not a form. You press Start, your browser asks to use your camera and microphone, which lets your match see and hear you, and a stranger appears; Next brings someone new, while the Report button both blocks and reports them.

Random costs nothing and needs no account, email address or name, and the people you meet are real, with no bots. Gender Preferences adds Female and Male: either one narrows your matches for coins per match and needs you to sign in, so an account only enters the picture if you want that choice. Coin purchases show on your card statement without the ChatMatch name or the words "video chat".

Calls are end to end encrypted, which shuts out even ChatMatch, and ChatMatch keeps no recording of your calls. Where local law calls for it, ChatMatch may ask you to confirm your age first. ChatMatch's privacy policy says the other person can capture your picture, so keep anything you would not want saved off camera.
